Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Responsible in providing technical services in the area of plant building and equipment maintenance and other engineering related works.

·         Responsible for the planning and implementation of plant production, cold storage and utility building and equipment preventive maintenance program to insure its safe condition and efficient operation.

·         Prepares plan, working drawing, cost estimates and other documents for major and minor projects, repairs, renovations, fabrications, maintenance and other improvements required by the plant.

·         Monitors, supervises, inspects and sees to it that all maintenance and project actual execution and completed works are in accordance with the set standards and specifications.

·         Provides assistance in setting of project timetables and cost estimates for the capitalized budgets.

·         Renders general support services on a day to day basis that may be required by all departments.

·         Insures uninterrupted supply of electricity, water, steam, compressed air, LPG and diesel fuel.

·         Motivates staff and keeps their morale high through proper workload assignment, guidance and scheduling.

QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Knowledgeable on HMI programming
Must be a LICENSED ELECTRICAL ENGINEER/ LICENSED MECHANICAL ENGINEER/ LICENSED ELECTRONICS ENGINEER.

·         Minimum five (5) years experience in plant building, grounds and equipment maintenance including cold storage, sub-station, power distribution lines, generator set, control panels, submersible motors, AC/DC motors, capacitor banks, conveyors and other rotating machines.

·         Minimum five (5) years hands-on experience in plant process equipments is an advantage

·         Knowledgeable in PLC

·         At least three (3) years supervisory experience in an Engineering/Maintenance department.

·         Familiar with DOLE, OSHS, BFAD standards, Building, Electrical, and Mechanical codes commonly applied in the Philippines.

·         Required languages: English, Filipino

·         Working experience in a Food manufacturing industry is and advantage.

·         Must have strong background in Facilities Maintenance / Repair.

Position: Project Engineer 

Solar Philippines is seeking a Project Engineer who will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the project at site, ensuring that all planned activities proceed smoothly and that challenges are immediately addressed.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Assumes day to day management of the project at site

·         Monitors and documents project progress daily, tracking all planned activities taking note of possible and apparent concerns that may cause a slip in the completion schedule

·         Provides solutions to concerns that can immediately be resolved at site while immediately bringing to the attention of the Project Construction Manager (PCM) those that need to be elevated

·         Works closely with construction partners and other sub-contractor representatives on-site

·         Conduct of quality control inspections and required tests ensuring that everything is done according to established procedures and standards

·         Documents proposed variations in the project bringing them immediately to the attention of the PCM

·         Documents construction highlights on a daily basis using proper forms and systems (from start to finish)

·         In the absence of the OHS Engr. at site, ensures that everyone working in the project complies with all health, safety and security protocols established/implemented in the project

·         Notifies PCM of the schedule of testing and commissioning

·         Makes initial evaluation of work done by sub-contractors and makes appropriate recommendations to the PCM for approval/disapproval

·         Provides inputs to the PCM in the preparation of weekly & monthly project progress reports

Desired Skills and Experience

·         Must have completed a bachelor's degree in any: BS Electrical Engineering (BSEE), BS Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or BS Electronics and Communications Engineering (BSECE); PRC License required

·         Minimum 3 years managerial or supervisory experience; with actual engagement in any RE company or project, particularly in solar PV is preferred.

·         Computer literate and proficient in the use of project planning software/s, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation applications

·         Must have above average verbal and written communication skills

·         75% or more of work will be in the field, in projects anywhere in the country

HIRING: Solar Philippine' Construction Manager

Position: Construction Manager

Solar Philippines is looking for a Construction Manager who will supervise all on-site construction of solar farm projects, including scheduling subcontractors, resolving day-to-day problems on the job site, and inspecting all work during construction to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage all employees and contractors assigned to work on the construction of the Solar Farm project.
• Responsible for the daily monitoring of construction quality to ensure that all work is done in accordance with the plans, specifications, QA/QC requirements, code requirements and contract requirements.
• Communicate construction issues to the contractor and escalates the same to the project manager in case of non-resolution.
• Monitor daily, and review weekly, Contractor’s schedule and project controls to ensure progress is being accurately reported. Assist Contractor, as appropriate, to maintain progress. Review Contractor’s invoices, reports, etc. and verify construction milestone completion.
• Lead daily and weekly project meetings.
• Act as liaison between various contractors in order to facilitate resolution of issues and maintain progress.
• Assist project manager in the review and approval of pay applications in accordance with the contractual terms including review and recommendation of change order approvals.
• Monitor and facilitate tie-ins, start-up and testing to ensure proper turnover to operations. Participate in final project demobilization, documentation and close-out activities.
• Provide leadership, support and training for the on-site Solar Philippines team.
• Responsible for the Safety and Environmental compliance of Solar Philippines personnel and subcontractors on site during construction in accordance with state and local laws, and Solar Philippines policies, practices and procedures.
• Serve as Solar Philippines representative on site with land owners, customers and contractors during the construction phase.
Desired Skills and Experience
• A licensed engineer with an extensive construction background is required
• At least five (5) years experience in scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control, and production of all phases of construction, preferably in the solar PV energy industry.
• Has background in construction contracts and familiarity with project finance
• Strong organizational and people skills
