Position Description:
The Project Manager plans, schedules, monitors, evaluates and directs projects
to ensure a complete business solution is implemented. The Project Manager may
act alone or is expected to lead a team or a definable segment of a larger
project. The Project Manager produces a project plan based on the Global PM
Project Management methodology for executing the project.
The Project Manager manages Teradata and third party contracts as needed;
ensuring projects meet established time, cost and technical objectives. The
Project Manager develops and manages the project's change control procedures
and effectively utilizes all available methodologies and tools, culminating in
client acceptance of results. The Project Manager conducts project progress
reviews with client and account team personnel, providing contingency and
problem resolution plans as required.
The Project Manager is assigned to a project during the concept phase and will
remain on a project through the end of the closeout. The Project Manager
manages a maximum of one active project. The complexity of any project will
require involvement of at least five days per week. The Project Manager may be
supported by a Project Coordinator.

Education and Experience Requirements
• Years Experience 10-15 years in Information Technology (or equivalent)
• Previous Work Experience
TERADATA, CIO; MIS Director; Consulting experience: Vendor or Consulting firm
(Big 5)
• Preferred Professional Certification
ESI Project Management Masters Certificate, PMI - Project Manager Professional
(PMP) Certification,

• Focuses primarily on High Impact Projects (HIPs - Red, Yellow, Green status)
to proactively mitigate risk on TERADATA's largest, most complex projects
• Utilizes Project Assurance/Audit process as a primary means for initially
engaging with and baselining the status of HIPs
• When warranted, functions in the Project Management Organization to
personally manage significant project recoveries to minimize TERADATA's
exposure on projects or programs whose performance (cost, schedule, technical)
has exceeded acceptable thresholds and/or is potentially compromising customer
satisfaction
• May work across many projects as a project management mentor to Project
Managers and Program Managers to ensure project quality and results
