Job Description

Overall Job Function:

Primarily in charge with all safety activities and requirements of the Bank, to include those of nominated bank-wide Safety Business Partners.

· The aforementioned requirements includes, among others, : Strategic planning, compliance implementation, compliance measurement and compliance reports preparation for the internal work force, down to our outsourced safety and security partners, to ensure alignment to the Board-approved mandates, key result areas and key performance indicators.

Responsibilities

a. Prepares, processes and submits all safety prerequisites of the Bank, to include strategic plans, major activities and performance metrics among others.

b. Manages all documentary requirements related to bank safety

c. Proactive monitoring and gathering of safety-related reports, for consolidation and submission to higher management

d. Focal point of contact and implementation for all safety related policies, procedures, guidelines, programs, etc. – Fire and earthquake drill, Safety audit, ensure that all bank facilities are safety compliant to building and fire code.

e. Focal point of contact on safety of all BPI employees, Premises, Facilities and bank owned properties, ensuring timely dissemination of and disposition on critical information

f. Regular monitoring of current events for advance info dissemination of all kinds of threats that may possibly affect the bank operations from different locations – weather disturbances like storm, typhoon, expected heavy rainfall that may result to possible flooding etc.

g. Coordinates with Operational Risk units; in particular, Business Continuity units

h. Develops procedures on Emergency Response or Disaster Recovery

i. Supervises response units on safety related incidents

j. Performs other duties as required by the Head, CSO
