ABOUT THE ROLE

Primary responsibility would be to assist customers who have purchased Geo licenses and services from Cloud Sherpas with obtaining full functionality from the Geo product suite. This position will be responsible for all activities related technical support for our customers, over the phone or via email. Other Customer Support Agent responsibilities include, but are not limited to: The agent would need to be comfortable interfacing with the Geo Sales and Dev teams, especially in the beginning, but also be comfortable working independently to solve problems and implement solutions when the Sales and Dev teams are indisposed.


Typical day snapshot - Geo Support Engineer

·         Provide technical support to customers and to the Geo Sales and Dev teams

·         Use Google Hangouts, Go-2-Meeting or similar conferencing and screen-sharing technology to gather data and provide hands-on support for Geo customers

·         Talking on the phone with customers, to help them through technical issues.

·         The customer support department is the primary contact for all customers with technical, how-to, and billing related questions. You will be responsible for resolving these issues quickly and for making sure the customer is extremely satisfied with the service.

What it takes to be a Sherpa

To be a Sherpa and a Geo Support Engineer in our Google Business Unit we look for:

·         Familiarity with Salesforce.com, Visualforce page and Apex class

·         Familiarity with Javascript, Ajax, jQuery(How to read/understand and understands closures.)

·         Familiarity (or can learn) the various Google Geospatial Products and Services.

·         Familiarity with (or can learn) the various services available to the Google Maps API. (Summary.)

·         Familiarity with (or can look up) the various Google Geo service quotas.

·         Familiarity (or can learn) how to use the Google Geo Enterprise Portal for asking appropriate questions and getting answers.

·         Familiarity (or can learn) how to use Google Enterprise Connect (especially the “Geo” section)

·         Familiarity (or can watch) Google Partner University videos on Google Geo products.

·         Familiarity with Development and Support Life Cycle
