Participate as an expert in Network optimization and performance area in complex projects. Is responsible for knowledge sharing in Radio Optimization and performance Develops processes, tools and working methods. Influences relevant functions (e.g. product management and R&D)
Position Description
The purpose of this job is to provide technical leadership to large and / or complex projects, utilizing a breadth and depth of knowledge to ensure customer satisfaction. Ensuring that knowledge gained is reflected back into the NPO organization to improve process, procedures and tools. Expected to be an active contributor to both internal and external technical knowledge sharing events.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
•Customer & CT support. Supporting customer projects and CT’s marketing & sales efforts on network design & performance issues. The scope concentrates on engineer’s technology competence areas with emphasis on network end-to-end solutions. Target contact customer’s GMs and CTO. Key customers are taken care by habitual visits for suggesting new technical solutions or solving customer’s problems. Effective remote support is essential to provide support for wider customer base. NPO Expert can make a difference by connecting CT and global/Region experts and by providing his individual and his personal network’s knowledge and skills in CT’s usage. Tailored solution done jointly with CT and global/Region can solve customer’s problem and increase customer satisfaction and loyalty.

•Competence transfer. The learning from customer cases brings us knowledge, which can be further utilized to our competitive advantage. Usage of wide range of Knowledge Management methods (Special Interest Groups, seminars, work shops, info session, etc.) can bring knowledge available to wider audience in NPO and Delivery. On the job training will be used in customer projects in order to let project people to bring matters forward.
•Solution development. This is the long term part of the job and can bring the biggest benefits for nsn. The purpose is to provide customer and field ideas and feedback to various developing units in global/Region. Special Interest Groups are a good arena to learn and share around a certain technology. Keeping contacts with global programs, product lines and other units in nsn provides learning and sharing opportunities, which can be used in developing new innovative solutions. The development includes nsn’s services, products and tools and the best solutions would become part of NPO portfolio.
NPO Expert has visibility to high customer level (CEO, CTO, CIO and CMO) and his opinion carries heavy weight influencing customer’s opinion and decision making. Therefore excellent presentation skills and consultation skills to make complex technical matters clearer to customer are necessary.
The role requires independency to carry out the duties in proactive, result oriented, and prioritized manner - well organized with high productivity. Furthermore on higher maturity level the role requires interdependency to achieve results mutually. Complex problems need involvement of other experts and contributors. Successful solutions are based on win-win thinking, innovation and synergy. NPO Expert can lead this work or be an effective contributor.
The job role is two-folded. Customers need quick response and NPO Expert has to be capable to manage the requests in productive manner and lead matters to positive outcome. On the other hand the competence transfer and solution development provides basis for sustainable long term service business for nsn.
Position Requirements
- 3G Radio optimization experience.
- Fluency in English.
- Personal Flexibility regarding travel.
- Knowledge and practice of NSN parameters and counters
- Strong team player
- Self motivated
- Positive attitude
