HIRING: SHELL's Field Based Account manager


3.    DESCRIPTION:

A Field Based Account Manager is expected to deliver Operational Plans by managing sales through the preferred channels: Direct and Indirect Channel. Direct channel caters to large customers in many industries including transport, mining, manufacturing, power generation and construction. Indirect channel covers smaller customers served indirectly by building strong partnerships with Resellers.

FBAMs can be assigned to 4 major businesses namely:

Wholesale Commercial Fuels – which aims to be the fuels supplier of choice for customers by offering innovative energy solutions that add value to their business, helping them improve the efficiency of their operations and reduce their environmental impact. We supply advanced transport, heating and industrial fuels to corporate and distributing companies in many industries worldwide including transport, mining, manufacturing, power generation and home energy. Product portfolio includes regular and differentiated fuels, heavy fuel oils and heating fuels.

Lubricants - Shell is the number one global lubricant supplier, delivering market-leading lubricants to consumers in over 100 countries. Whatever your needs or application, Shell can provide a full range of lubricants including synthetic high-performance products. FBAMs will help our customers to see how our superior oils and lubricants work to clean and protect your engine, help to prolong its life, improve its performance and contribute to its fuel efficiency. RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Deliver sales & financial targets by managing sales through the preferred channels
- Manage and grow the assigned zone, capturing opportunities in key industries indentified in the territory
- Deliver set Key Performance Indicators (either through Volume, Margins and the like)
- Defend base volumes and grow the territory by developing non-traditional accounts or industries
- Create brand awareness to induce trial, repeat purchase and achieve brand loyalty
- Measure Performance vs. Target and manage resources efficiently
- Compliance to the Shell’s drive to professionalize its sales force through Sales 1 st activities.
- To ensure observance of Health, Safety, Security and Environment(HSSE) policies, and Shell General Business Principles (SGBP)

Requirements
- Must hold a degree in Business or Engineering
- Must have significant experience in Sales and Distributor Management
- Knowledge on profitability analysis will be an advantage
- Must be well-organized and have good skills in the areas of selling & negotiating as well as problem solving, given the complexity of the supply and logistics chain
- Must be highly motivated and able to self-supervise as they can be assigned anywhere in the Philippines where Shell operates
- Dealing with a diverse range of customers, they must have a passion for providing excellent service to customers and be able to manage associated administrative detail, as well as understand the need for follow-up, closure and relationship management.
